Peas Are Sprouting
So it's been a week of heavy rain and now some very warm temperatures and my peas have emerged from the ground only a week after they were planted. Our neighbor was kind enough to give us their trellis for the peas to climb up on. So far so good in our garden. The plants are growing and my flowers are blooming and by tonight I will have my first strawberry. It's all very exciting!

The Plants Are In
So after a tiring 3 hours working in the garden my plants are in. There are 12 Roma tomato plants, 6 zucchini plants, 4 cucumber plants, garlic, snow peas and potatoes. By the time I was done I was totally exhausted and soaked. Let's all cross our fingers for a great growing season with rain and sun when we need it and nice warm temperatures. Oh and the strawberries are doing great!!! In a few weeks we should have a ton of them.

The Good News And The Bad News
The good news is that I have turned the soil in the garden. The bad news is that it won't stop raining so that I can plant anything. I've bought a hanging strawberry plant and the strawberries in the front of our house are blooming like crazy. All of the tulips are blooming and look fantastic. All of our trees and plants are coming to life and much to the dismay of Neal our grass is out of control. Now all we need is some warmer temperatures and dryer conditions so that we can plant this weekend. Stay tuned for more planting news.
