Flowers Starting To Die

All good things must come to an end. The other day I noticed that one of the stalks had started to lean instead of standing straight like the other one.  Over night the plant tipped over.  I've now tied the two stalks together and put a stick into the pot but the flowers have started to die off.

Now All But Two Are Open

 I love this amaryllis.  All but two of the flowers are open now.  It's just to beautiful!!!!  Now I wish I would have gotten more of these.

More Flowers Have Opened

It is so exciting watching this grow and bloom.  It's really too bad that I didn't have a stop motion camera on the plant so that we could have seen it growing in a video.  I'm sure it would have been very cool.

We're about to have a major snow storm tomorrow so it's nice to be able to see something spring-like growing inside the house because for the next two days all we are going to be seeing is snow, snow and more snow and a little bit of wind mixed in for fun.  Maybe if we all wish really hard we could have a snow day tomorrow.

One Flower Has Opened

 

 I've been taking a photo of the plant each day as it has started to open.

This morning it started to open.







Then when I came home, one of the flowers had finally opened.  There are six more that still have to open up.  The Amaryllis is so pretty!
