Just a quick note to tell you that the Snow Peas have started to poke their tiny heads up and out of the soil about two weeks from the day I planted them. I have to admit they were planted late because of our ice storm. Yes we had a bad ice storm in late April when the peas should have been planted and the garden still had snow on it. So we went form snow to heat wave in just a few short weeks. We always say, if you don't like the weather in Toronto wait a day and it will change.
The other plants have now started to settle into their new home and they look a lot heartier. The first few days it was touch and go because of the high heat and absolutely no rain. I'm starting to see some more growth now.
The herbs do NOT like the heat at all. Between waterings the leaves get very wilty looking and then perk right back up after being watered and at night when it's cooler.
The ups and downs of how my garden grows. I'm a novice gardener who just loves to grow things in my little garden.

Garden 2018 - Let The Planting Begin
Let the 2018 planting season begin!!! This year as you can see, I've added some new walkway mats as the stepping stones have started to crumble.
This year I planted snow peas, zucchini, beans, kale, green peppers, various kinds of tomatoes and some stinky flowers to hopefully to repel bugs and animals.
Here is the beautiful herb garden that my sister-in-law and brother-in-law gave us as a gift. The smell is amazing!!
