It's been a cool week here in the city but lots of sun and the plants seem very happy and are starting to do much better. Here you can see the first strawberries of the season. I can see the birds have been eating them too. I've managed to rescue these few berries.
The snow peas have started to emerge from the ground and are getting taller. We've had an addition of some sort of bean as well. A neighbour gave us some broad bean seeds. He didn't know what variety they were. We shall see what they are when they sprout.
Something is eating my Marigolds. I don't fully understand what bug could possibly like that stinky flower. I planted them to keep away the bugs but instead something seems to think they are very tasty. Oh well better whatever it is eats the flowers than the vegetable plants.
The Hosta have come up bigger than ever before. One of them is about to flower. As soon they it does I will post a photo. Until then, go out and plant your garden.
