Amaryllis Did Not Flower

I am very sad to report that the tribute Amaryllis that I planted for my husband's Grandma didn't manage to produce a flower.  We got some huge leaves, lots of little gnats and no flower.  Due to the gnat infestation, that no matter what we did, kept coming back had to be thrown out.  Maybe we'll try again next year with a brand new fresh plant.
