Just a quick note to tell you that the Snow Peas have started to poke their tiny heads up and out of the soil about two weeks from the day I planted them. I have to admit they were planted late because of our ice storm. Yes we had a bad ice storm in late April when the peas should have been planted and the garden still had snow on it. So we went form snow to heat wave in just a few short weeks. We always say, if you don't like the weather in Toronto wait a day and it will change.
The other plants have now started to settle into their new home and they look a lot heartier. The first few days it was touch and go because of the high heat and absolutely no rain. I'm starting to see some more growth now.
The herbs do NOT like the heat at all. Between waterings the leaves get very wilty looking and then perk right back up after being watered and at night when it's cooler.
